Development continues, but with one of the new pillars of the series
At the start of the week, Ubisoft and Vantage Studios announced that they were at the head of the license Assassin’s Creed three veterans of the saga, namely Martin Schelling, Jean Guesdon and François de Billy. The first action of this trio (and of Ubisoft) will therefore have been to take the case ofAssassin’s Creed Hexe head on, since VGC tells us that its creative director is packing his bags.
Clint Hocking is now leaving Ubisoftwithout us knowing if he was kicked out or if he left on his own (we still have our own idea on the matter). He is known for having been the creative director of other Ubisoft games, Far Cry 2 has Watch Dogs Legion. He is directly replaced by Jean Guesdonwho held this position on Black Flag And Origins. Here’s what Ubisoft has to say about this change:
“ We sincerely thank Clint for his vision, creative contributions and dedication over the years, and we wish him the best moving forward. The development of Assassin’s Creed Hexe continues with an experienced team. The game will offer a unique experience within the Assassin’s Creed franchise. We look forward to sharing more information soon. »
An important change for a game about which we still know practically nothing apart from a few unverified rumors, except that it should adopt a slightly darker atmosphere than the previous episodes. No release date yet for this opus, and we imagine that this change will not speed things up.
