Three minifigures are included: Zelda, Link accompanied by Navi, and Ganondorf. On Reddit, reactions were largely enthusiastic. One fan wrote: “Zelda Ocarina of Time made my Saturday great. As always for 28 years. »

Another message sums up the general mood: “The new Lego Final Battle set is awesome! » The set also includes interactive features, such as the ability to make Ganondorf appear in the middle of the rubble. The Megaton Hammer is also included among the available accessories.

Ocarina of Time remains a video game monument

Originally released in 1998 for Nintendo 64, Ocarina of Time is often cited among the best video games of all time. Its move to 3D, its ambitious storytelling and its structure mixing exploration, dungeons and puzzles have had a profound impact on the industry. Even today, its influence can be felt in many modern action-adventure games. The success of this LEGO set illustrates the extent to which the attachment to this episode remains intact, almost three decades after its release.

What to expect from Zelda’s 40th anniversary?

Beyond this collaboration with LEGO, Nintendo remains discreet about its projects related to the 40th anniversary. Rumors point to the possibility of a remake or remastering of old episodes, while the film adaptation of the saga continues to attract attention. While awaiting possible official announcements, this type of derivative product allows fans to dive back into the world of Hyrule from a different angle.
