Xbox is offering 4 full, free games to all players this weekend, no strings attached



As January comes to an end, Xbox restarts its weekly event Free Play Days. This operation allows players to test free selection of recent or cult titles for a few days. From Thursday January 29 to Sunday February 1, four games playable for free are available to all Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One users.

You don’t need to have a Game Pass subscription to take advantage of it: just go to the Xbox Store, download the relevant titles and have fun. An ideal way to discover a variety of games, solo or multiplayer.

Four games playable for free this weekend on Xbox

The program for this edition of Xbox Free Play Days offers very different styles, adapted to all player profiles. Here are the games available until February 1:

  • Dead by Daylight: Special Edition : the famous asymmetrical multiplayer horror game where a killer hunts down four survivors.
  • Fallout 76 : a post-apocalyptic multiplayer RPG from Bethesda, evolving and rich in content.
  • For Honor : a third-person tactical action game with epic clashes between samurai, vikings and knights.
  • Grounded 2 : the cooperative sequel in which miniaturized players must survive in a hostile garden.

All these games are available in full version for the duration of the event. Backups will be retained in case of subsequent purchases.

How to access Free Play Days on Xbox?

To enjoy these games, nothing could be simpler:

  1. Open it Xbox Store from your console.
  2. Search for games marked Free Play Days.
  3. Click on Install / Download.
  4. Launch the game and have fun until Sunday evening.

Important note: Some games may require an Xbox Live Gold subscription for their multiplayer features.

A good plan to test before buying

Free Play Days are also an excellent opportunity to test a game thoroughly before buying it. Often, the titles offered are then available at a reduced price or present in the Xbox Game Passas is the case for Fallout 76 Or Grounded 2.
