US fans drive up revenue from the “Chainsaw Man” film

Even around two weeks after the global theatrical release of “Chainsaw Man the Movie: Reze Arc,” numerous fans are still attending the screenings. We summarize all the details about the current figures for you below.

US market continues to grow

The sequel film’s worldwide box office revenue currently amounts to around 139 million US dollars (the equivalent of around 121 million euros), with US fans in particular making a particularly large contribution.

The USA contributed the second most with a total box office of around 31 million US dollars – less than Japan with 46.5 million US dollars, but significantly more than South Korea, where around 19 million US dollars were taken. In Germany, however, revenue was only $1.6 million.

According to industry experts, “Chainsaw Man the Movie: Reze Arc” could gross between $40 and $45 million in the US by the end of its theatrical run. This would put the film just behind the Japanese box office.

Incidentally, the pure production costs only amounted to around 4 million US dollars (around 600 million yen) – a sum that has now been recouped many times over through global revenue.

The content of the strip is directly linked to the first series series of the anime adaptation of the manga of the same name by Tatsuki Fujimoto. The streaming service Crunchyroll has all twelve episodes with German and Japanese language options and also released them in a collector’s edition on DVD and Blu-ray.
