On the official X account of the anime adaptation of “The Kept Man of the Princess Knight” (Japanese: “Himekishi-sama no Himo”) it was announced today that the series will start in January 2027. You can find a new teaser and a visual below.

»The Kept Man of the Princess Knight« was created under the direction of Chihiro Kumano (“The Angel Next Door”) at Studio BLADE. Hitomi Mieno (“Witch Watch”) is writing the script, while Hisao Ishii is contributing the character design.
The main roles of the Japanese cast include Junichi Suwabe (Sukuna in “Jujutsu Kaisen”) as Matthew and Mikako Komatsu (Christiana Leta Rosebreyer in “I’m the Evil Lord of an Intergalactic Empire!”) as Arwin Mabel Primrose Mactarode.
The underlying light novel written by Tohru Shirogane has been published since February 2022 with illustrations by Saki Mashima. A manga adaptation by Key Yan debuted in “Comic Walker” magazine in September 2022.

In the chaotic dungeon town of Gray Neighbor, Matthew is seen as a lazy ne’er-do-well who wastes the money of his mistress, the knight Princess Arwin, on alcohol and gambling. But no one knows his true face: in secret, he protects Arwin with all means and will stop at nothing for her.
