No new major DLC for Naoe and Yasuke
Even if Assassin’s Creed Shadows is described as a success at Ubisoft, the publisher could stop paying for paid expansions for the game. This is what associate director Simon Lemay-Comtois said during an interview with JorRaptor (relayed on IGN), in which it states that there are no plans for a second expansion for the game at this time :
“ For the moment, and for the second year, no extension of Awaji is planned […] We’re still working on and tracking post-launch content, but it’s not a full DLC like it would have been with a Season Pass in previous years. »
However, work on this episode does not stop. If you won’t find any major DLC for the title in the future, content is still planned for 2026:
“ We are trying to reorganize ourselves for this second year. We can learn from the first year. The content we will offer this year will probably be more scattered, not piecemeal content… but more substantial updates that will refresh the gaming experience a little more. I’m not announcing anything at the moment, but our strategy for the first year was to be quick and responsive, which means smaller and more frequent releases. »
So expect some significant updates for this next year, which we imagine are free. Ubisoft must undoubtedly mobilize its forces on the next chapter of the saga, Hexewhich still has no release date.
