»The World’s Strongest Witch« gets an anime adaptation + teaser


With the opening of an official website, it was announced today that the fantasy novel “The World’s Strongest Witch” is getting an anime adaptation in the form of a TV series. You can find a first teaser below.

Starting in October 2026

»The World’s Strongest Witch« is directed by Jouji Furuta (“Bad Girl”) at the Bridge and Aisle studios. Shouji Yonemura (“Hotel Inhumans”) is writing the script, while Yuuki Morimoto is contributing character design.

The main role of the Japanese voice cast is Azusa Tachibana (Kaya Satou in “Kaya-chan Isn’t Scary”) as Rona Hermit. The fantasy series is scheduled to start on Japanese television in October 2026.

The underlying light novel series by Mochimaru Sakaki, originally titled “Sekai Saikyou no Majo, Hajimemashita: Watashi dake Kouryaku Site wo Mireru Sekai de Jiyuu ni Ikimasu”, has been published in Japan since December 2022 with illustrations by riritto. A manga adaptation by Tamaki Toga debuted in May 2023.
