EA is selling off a Battlefield game for €0.99, a limited offer to grab as quickly as possible



An episode of the license Battlefield at less than €1 on console, it’s not every day. Electronic Arts selling out at the moment Battlefield Hardline on Xbox for less than a euro, just before removing it from digital stores and cutting off its multiplayer servers.

Released in 2015 and developed by Visceral Gamesthis cops vs thieves spin off received a mixed reception but remains a separate episode in the series. EA is now preparing for its retirement on consoles. It remains to be seen whether this €0.99 offer is worth your click.

EA sells Battlefield Hardline for €0.99: what is the exact offer?

On the Xbox Storethe Standard Edition of Battlefield Hardline is listed at $0.99 (around €0.99), compared to a usual price of $19.99 (usually €19.99). That’s a discount of almost 95%. The promotion is listed as valid until May 13.

On PC, via Steamthe game is also regularly seen around $1.99 or around €1.90, without announcement of withdrawal or closure of the servers. Side PlayStation Storeno equivalent promotion is yet visible on PS4 or PS5, even if the title will also be withdrawn from sale there.

Battlefield Hardline: what will the closure of the servers change?

On May 22, 2026, Battlefield Hardline and all its DLC will disappear from the Microsoft Store and of PlayStation Store on Xbox One And PS4 (including via backwards compatibility Xbox Series And PS5). If you purchased it before, the game will remain linked to your account.

One month later, on June 22, 2026, console multiplayer servers will be cut. Online modes and multiplayer-focused DLC will then become unusable on Xbox and PlayStation, but the single-player campaign will remain playable offline. On PC, via Steam or theEA Appsales and multiplayer continue, with no end date announced.

Battlefield Hardline for €0.99: should you buy it before it disappears?

For around €1, the campaign Battlefield Hardlinesigned Visceral Gamesis clearly worth a look if you like single-player FPS games. It offers a detective series style setting, between shadowing and heists, for several hours of play. At this price, the solo alone justifies the purchase.

On the other hand, if you only play for multiplayer, interest is low given the server shutdown in June. Better to avoid paying for DLC. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass subscribers already have access to the title via EA Play, but investing €0.99 allows you to keep it permanently in your Xbox library, even after unsubscribing or withdrawing from the service. Just search for it on the Microsoft Store and to validate the purchase before May 13, then no later than May 22 to prevent it from disappearing from the catalog.
