And the sentence is irrevocable
One last update and then it’s gone. After the dismissal of almost all the teams and a painful launch, Highguard will be the next victim of a genre that is running out of steam, in an ever more severe industry. The multiplayer FPS will have had more than 2 million players since its launch on January 26 (after an awkward announcement at the Game Awards), but this will not have been enough to stem a hemorrhage which was only intensifying despite a recently revealed one-year roadmap. The announcement was made via an official post on social network X this evening.
“Despite the passion and hard work of our team, we have not managed to build a strong enough player base to ensure the sustainability of the game. The servers will remain online until March 12. We hope you will join us one last time to support us and play these final memorable games while we still can”. –Wildlight Entertainment
A final update will therefore be available within a few hours including a new Guardian, a new weaponadditions in the progression of account level and in the skill trees. Before its disastrous closure (which is reminiscent of that of Concord which will have lasted even less long in our libraries), you will therefore be able to benefit from these latest additions desired by the developers. We wish the teams in charge of development to find work as quickly as possible.
