Hollywood still needs to be convinced
It was the actor himself who gave some news about the project Sleeping Dogs at the cinema, a few months after expressing his interest in it. In a new tweet, Simu Liu confirms that the script for the feature film is now ready, at least a first version. However, the real battle begins now. Liu says he has good relations with Square Enix, which owns the license, but that it is now the film studios who must be convinced:
“ They are absolutely awesome [Square Enix]it’s the studios that don’t seem to understand how important this intellectual property is BUT we’ll get there. »
And that’s no small feat considering that’s exactly where Donnie Yen was blocking at the time. At least, the actor seems to be really invested in this project and there is no doubt that his name will carry weight with the Hollywood pundits.
