NiER 10,000,000.000000
The saga Deny has everything of a small miracle, since the first part had not met with success and we would never have imagined that NiER Automata is such a hit. And yet, we have just learned that the milestone of 10 million copies was achieved according to Square Enix. This is 1 million more games since the last report established in December 2024, proof that the title is still attractive despite its age.
At the same time, the Japanese publisher specifies that NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 has passed the 2 million mark. A much better success than the original opus therefore, for this remaster released in 2021 and which will soon celebrate its fifth anniversary. An additional 500,000 units have been sold since November 2022.
No other major announcement was made alongside this livestream, although we can still note two very interesting details. First of all, in the 10 million celebration video, we can discover the message that the franchise will continue. In what form? We don’t know yet, and fans aren’t really learning anything new. But we can imagine that Yoko Taro and his team are working on it, and the timing could make us hope for more information within the year or by the next anniversary.
The last thing to note is the publication of a brand new particularly pretty artwork which was released to celebrate this new milestone in sales. Enough to potentially change your wallpaper on your smartphone. A very small consolation while waiting for a real announcement of a new game.
