Moonlighter 2 is based on the original concept of the first episode, but this new opus will however feature a new visual approach with 3D graphics. It must be admitted that it offers a fairly polished aesthetic and we imagine that this is the reason why it will not be released on the first Switch.
As a reminder, the title is an Action-RPG with roguelike elements. Broke as the wheat, you and the other inhabitants of the town find yourself stranded in the distant village of Tresna. Your mission will be to get back on your feet and transform your store into a source of wealth for the village.
This will give you a good excuse to explore numerous dungeons, collect relics, and sell them to invest in the city’s infrastructure. You will be able to unlock new weapons and armor, or even decorate your shop. Organizing your bag will be essential to optimize the loot collected. And the further the expedition ventures, the greater the rewards, but with greater risk.
Upon returning from each excursion, it’s time for business and store management.. Store layout, customer relations, participation in special events and unlocking bonuses, everything is good for amassing ever more profits. In short, we are undoubtedly facing one of the independent games of the year not to be missed.
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault will be released in 2026 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series and Switch 2.
