Cyberpunk 2077 receives huge “DLC 2” with over 50 new locations

Six years after its release, Cyberpunk 2077 continues to expand its universe. While CD Projekt Red has officially turned the page on The Witcher 4 and other projects, Night City refuses to die down. A massive new extension has even just seen the light of day, without being signed by the studio.

Available on NexusMods, “Cyberpunk 2077 Unofficial DLC 2” adds more than 50 new locations to explore in the game. A colossal addition imagined by modder Jon Cross, a well-known figure in the community since 2024.

“Cyberpunk 2077 Unofficial DLC 2” transforms Night City

This new content doesn’t just add a few buildings. The mod offers more than fifty new locations, integrated directly into the existing environment.

  • New apartments
  • Manors
  • Shooting ranges
  • A roller coaster
  • Pool parties
  • New nightclubs

These spaces fit naturally into Night City and even modify some existing missions. An infiltration with Panam can now reveal completely unexpected areas. Old abandoned areas find use again and enrich exploration. The scale of the mod gives the impression of a real extension, almost comparable to an official DLC.

A treasure trove of cut content brought back to light

Originally, CD Projekt Red had several major expansions planned for Cyberpunk 2077. After a complicated launch in December 2020, the studio focused its efforts on patching and stabilizing the game.

Only the Phantom Liberty DLC finally saw the light of day. Yet many unused assets remain buried in the game files. These abandoned assets now provide a valuable foundation for experienced modders. Jon Cross draws on this hidden wealth to bring Night City back to life.

While CD Projekt Red prepares ambitious projects like The Witcher 4, the community continues to supply Cyberpunk 2077 with new content. With over 50 new locations to discover, “Cyberpunk 2077 Unofficial DLC 2” offers a new reason to dive back into the city.
