Start of “Star Wars: Visions – The Ninth Jedi” on Disney+


The organizers of Anime Expo today announced new details about the spin-off series “Star Wars: Visions – The Ninth Jedi”. We summarize.

Premiere in summer 2026

The world premiere of the first episode in the original sound with subtitles will therefore take place on July 2, 2026 as part of the Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles. The complete series is scheduled to launch worldwide on Disney+ in the summer of 2026 – in addition to the Japanese dubbing, also with various language versions.

The anime is being created under the direction of director Shunsuke Tada (“Legend of the Galactic Heroes: The New Thesis”) at Studio Production IG Hitoshi Itou (“Attack on Titan: The Final Season”) acts as producer.

“Star Wars: Visions – The Ninth Jedi” marks the start of the “Star Wars: Visions Presents” project, which is intended to give selected stories from the anthology series more space for a more detailed plot. The three previous seasons of “Star Wars: Visions” can already be streamed on Disney+.
