Screening in August 2026
As part of the “Anime World Tour,” fans at AnimagiC 2026 on August 1, 2026 at 10:30 p.m. will have the opportunity to see the first 20 minutes of the opening episode of “Kagurabachi” in the original sound with subtitles.
Additional screenings will take place on July 3, 2026 at Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles, on July 9, 2026 at Japan Expo 2026 in Paris, and on August 22, 2026 at Anime NYC in New York City. The regular start is planned for April 2027.
The studio Cypic is responsible for the production of the anime, with Tetsuya Takeuchi (“From Bureaucrat to Villainess”) directing and Keigo Sasaki (“Umamusume”) contributing the character design. The original manga series of the same name by Takeru Hokazono is available in German from Carlsen Verlag.
