The 25th and final volume of the Japanese comic edition of “Solo Leveling” has reached the top of the current book charts, leaving numerous popular manga titles behind. We summarize below.
Last volume conquers the charts
According to Billboard Japan’s latest Book Hot 100 chart, Volume 25 of Solo Leveling was the country’s best-selling book for the week of June 22-28, 2026. This means that the series prevailed against titles such as “Apothecary Diaries”, “From Country Chick to Sword Saint” and “Blue Lock”, among others.
This is particularly notable given that the anime adaptation received little attention in Japan and disc sales were a huge failure.
The original story by Sung Jin-Woo comes to an end with the 25th volume, but the plot is not completely over yet. Several epilogue chapters then lead to the spin-off “Solo Leveling: Ragnarok”.
Parallel to the sales success of the print edition, the announcement of an anime sequel in film format is attracting international attention. The big screen spin-off is titled “Solo Leveling: Beyond the System” and does not yet have a start date. You can find a first concept trailer under this link.
The two previous series seasons of “Solo Leveling” are available on demand with German and Japanese voice acting on Crunchyroll. The second season has been released in two volumes on DVD and Blu-ray since April 2026. The original web novel and web comic are published in German by Altraverse.
