Silent Hill 2: leak on the Microsoft Store, the release date on Xbox already set

The fog is finally starting to clear for Xbox gamers. According to a leak spotted on the Microsoft Store, the highly anticipated remake of Silent Hill 2 developed by Bloober Team will land on Xbox Series

The release of the game on Xbox had been anticipated for several weeks. On October 31, the ESRB rating system had already validated the game for the Microsoft console, a strong signal which suggested an imminent launch. This rumor takes on new dimensions today with this appearance on the store, even if Konami and Bloober Team have not yet officially confirmed the news.

A version optimized for Xbox Series, but still without multiplatform

The game sheet temporarily published specifies that Silent Hill 2 will be well optimized for the Xbox Series X and S. No mention, however, of a multiplatform mode, nor of integration of interconnected features with the PC version. The game will also be available on the Microsoft Store for PC players.

Let us remember that Silent Hill 2 has already been released on PlayStation 5 and Steam since October 8, 2024. It benefited from a one-year temporary console exclusivity, which expired in early October 2025. To date, the remake has a score of 86 on Metacritic based on 105 reviews, and a user rating of 9.1 from nearly 4000 reviews.

Other platforms in the pipeline, including Switch 2?

In addition to the Xbox version, speculation is also circulating around a release on the future Nintendo Switch 2. If no date has been given for the latter, the appearance of the game on the Xbox store could indicate a more global expansion of distribution.

While official confirmation is still awaited, this leak fuels the impatience of fans, especially those who have neither PS5 nor PC. After a year of waiting, it seems that the psychological horror from Bloober Team is finally preparing to haunt Xbox consoles.
