RedOctane Games unveils Stage Tour, a musical game that pays homage to Guitar Hero and Rock Band

Return to the spotlight for a forgotten genre

When the creation of the studio was announced last year, veterans of the series Guitar Hero promised us that their game would be announced in 2025. It ended up taking them longer than that, but Stage Tour is finally here.

A title in the pure tradition of the genre, which asks us to put together our group and perform scores by pressing the right keys at the right time. Lejeu wants to be “ a love letter » towards rhythm games of this kind, while using new instruments as well as modern technology to bring a bit of fresh air.

The game promises a lot of customization for the members who will accompany us, and the studio indicates that a partnership with Gibson is also in the works. Taylor Berryman, senior manager at Gibson, said:

For an entire generation of gamers, rhythm games transformed music from simple entertainment to a true passion, inspiring countless people to take up instruments and explore their creativity. Stage Tour is a continuation of this influence. We are excited to collaborate with RedOctane to reinvent rhythm gaming and spark a deeper connection with music, spark creativity, and pass on a lasting love of music to future generations. »

The most difficult thing now will be managing the launch, the music rights, and especially the post-launch content. A roadmap should be shared before release to give us a better idea of what is planned.

Stage Tour is currently only announced on PC, with a release planned for the fall.
