Quantic Dream opens its first closed beta weekend from December 4 to 8

Six Spellcasters and a deck-building system

This first closed beta will allow you to try your hand at the basics of gameplay. Spellcasters Chronicles from December 4 to 8. You will be able to play six Spellcasters, each associated with its own archetype directly influencing deck-building strategies. The playable arena, the Mausoleum, will serve as a testing ground for a first selection of content with 11 creatures, 8 incantations, 2 buildings and 2 titans. Enough to develop a wide variety of compositions and playing styles depending on the studio.

Each Spellcaster offers a unique approach:

  • Swamp Witch, specializing in minor summons and empowered endgames.
  • Astral Monk, focused on offensive spells and bursts of explosive damage.
  • Iron Sorcerer, perfect for decks built around structures and lane control.
  • Fire Elementalist, aggressive profile focusing on mobility and rapid spell rotation.
  • Mystic Scribe, focused on support and survival.
  • Stone Shaman, expert in defensive strategies and terrain reinforcement.

Quantic Dream emphasizes that this phase will primarily serve to collect player feedback. A second beta, planned for early 2026will incorporate new characters, arenas, summons, and additional features, as the game gets closer to Early Access. Game director Gregorie Diaconu emphasizes the importance of collaboration with the community:

We want to listen, quickly improve, and shape the experience with our players. This first weekend of closed beta is the opening chapter.
