Sony Interactive Entertainment has confirmed a new wave of withdrawals in its PS Plus Extra subscription. The date to remember is December 16, 2025 : after this day, nine games will disappear from the catalog and become inaccessible to subscribers, even if they had already installed them.
This regular rotation of content sometimes affects confidential titles. But this time, several popular games are affected, notably in the PS5, PS4 and PSVR 2 catalogs. The information was published by the PlayStation Universe site and relayed by numerous specialized media.
Battlefield 2042, Forspoken, Sonic… the most impactful games
It’s hard to miss the headliner: Battlefield 2042. The Electronic Arts shooter, still active online, is leaving the service after being offered to PS Plus subscribers for several months.
Another major game to disappear: Forspokentemporary PS5 exclusive from Square Enix. Less well received upon its release, it nonetheless remains a technically ambitious title, and which is worth the detour.
License fans may also regret:

- Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy Vol. 2 – Improved Editionaccessible in virtual reality via PSVR 2.
