The free TV broadcaster ProSieben MAXX announced today that it has secured the license for the second season of “Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End” and will broadcast it as a German TV premiere. We summarize.

The second season of “Freeze: Beyond Journey’s End” starts on July 17, 2026 at 10:55 p.m. on ProSieben MAXX. Afterwards, three episodes will be shown in a row every Friday evening from around 10:15 p.m., which will then be available free of charge for a limited time in the media library on Joyn.
The MADHOUSE studio was responsible for the production of the ten-part sequel, with Tomoya Kitagawa (episode director for “Spy x Family”) directing and Tomohiro Suzuki writing the script.
The anime adaptation of Kanehito Yamada’s manga series of the same name has so far included two seasons, which are available on Crunchyroll with German and Japanese dubbing. A third season starts in Japan in October 2027.
