The streaming service Netflix is cleaning up its anime catalog and will soon be removing two films from the program. We summarize all the details.
Two anime are removed
In the first anime film, which is only available until… July 14, 2026 can be streamed, it is a classic “Akira”which is currently offered with German and Japanese language output.
In addition, the drama film is also »Weathering With You« only until July 14, 2026 available on demand with German dubbing and in the original Japanese dubbing with subtitles.

The anime film “Akira” only stands until July 14, 2026 with German and Japanese language versions Netflix available.

Action:
Tetsuo and Kaneda grow up in futuristic Neo-Tokyo and belong to a motorcycle gang. When Tetsuo is involved in an accident with a mysterious figure during a nighttime clash with rival gangs, the military intervenes shortly afterwards. He is kidnapped and becomes the subject of secret experiments.
Until July 14th: “Weathering With You”
The anime film »Weathering With You« can only go until July 14, 2026 in German and in the original language with subtitles Netflix be streamed.

Action:
The student Hodaka runs away from home and ends up in rainy Tokyo. There he finds a job at a magazine that reports on unusual weather phenomena.
He soon meets Hina, a so-called “sunshine girl” who can make the sky clear. Together they bring back the sun on special occasions – but Hina’s gift demands a high price.
