Pokémon ZA Legends: Capture Shiny Alpha Pokémon With This Game-Changing Trick

Pokémon Legends ZA, the latest addition to the cult franchise, continues to thrill trainers around the world. And for fans of shiny hunting, a new method shared on Reddit and Discord is causing a real tidal wave in the community.

This tip, discovered by a certain EagleBMW and broadcast by the YouTuber Austin John Playswould, if correctly executed, allow spawn up to six Alpha Chromatic Pokémon in Wild Area 20. A rare feat, which relies neither on hacks nor on cheats, but on subtle manipulation of the game’s mechanics.

How does this Alpha Shiny flaw work?

The method is certainly a bit long, but it does not require any external software. It is simply a matter of intelligently exploiting the zone backup and reset logic.

Here are the main steps to follow to trigger this phenomenon:

  1. Attract the two initial Alphas from Wild Area 20 towards the front door.
  2. Go through the door, save, then restart.
  3. Return to the area, lure them near the door again and repeat the process.
  4. Move about 60 meters awaysave again, then return to the area.
  5. Two new Alphas should appear near the tower. Lure them towards the door too.
  6. Repeat this process until you get six Alpha Pokémon gathered at the entrance.
  7. Once this number is reached, let them intentionally knock you out.
  8. Then return to the area from the Pokémon Center: the six Alphas will always be thereready to be re-randomized.

Rerolling is then done via simple actions such as sitting on a bench, running around the area or traveling quickly to force the change of chromatism without losing spawns.

Why does it work?

Pokémon Legends ZA uses a dynamic system of spawns in its wild areas, coupled with a persistence mechanic if the area is not completely left. In resetting zones and saves at key timesthe player manages to force the game to stack several groups of Alphas without removing them.

And since the number of simultaneous Alphas influences the number of possible rerolls, this tip mechanically increases the chances of coming across a chromatic Pokémon.

Warning: mistakes to avoid

However, there are important precautions to follow:

  • Do not KO Pokémon before having everything in place, otherwise the process will have to start again.
  • Do not stray too far or visit other deep areas like Lumiose.
  • In the event of a complete game over (and not a simple fainting), the last save is reset.

In summary: it’s all about control, thoroughness and repetition.

A paradise for shiny hunters

With this method, hundreds of players are already reporting captures of Chromatic Alphas. Some even mention consecutive double shiny spawnswhich would have been unthinkable in previous games.

If you are a fan of shiny hunting, maybe this is the best time to dive into Pokémon Legends ZA. This trick could well become a classic of the genre – until a patch corrects the flaw.
