On PC, the hunt for horror deals never stops. On the occasion of Easter promotions, the indie platform itch.io highlights two little-known horror titles but already appreciated by certain streamers, signed Ramose Tsimbina And Ravenhome.

Good news for players: these two independent horror games, BigSmile: The Message And Sleep Demonare currently offered at 100% off. They can be added to your library and kept for life, as long as you claim them before April 7.

Two free horror games on PC to grab now on itch.io

Basically, BigSmile: The Message was sold for $2.50 (around €2.30) and Sleep Demon $2.00 (approximately €1.80). During the Easter Holiday promotion on itch.ioboth go to 0 € for DRM-free download: no launcher is required, a simple PC executable is enough.

Once the game is “Download or claim” on the itch.io page, it remains linked to your account and can be redownloaded even after the offer ends. The window is short: for BigSmilethe developer has set the deadline for April 7, and aggregators are lining up Sleep Demon on the same deadline.

BigSmile: The Message And Sleep Demon : what to expect in terms of thrills on PC?

Created by solo developer Ramose Tsimbina, BigSmile: The Message is a 1-bit pixel art psychological horror visual novel. We play a viewer who witnesses a crime livestream and hires a hacker to track down the person responsible on the Shadow Web. The experience lasts about an hour, with two endings, lots of English dialogue, a dedicated soundtrack, and a PC-only release.

Be careful though: the creator warns that the game contains gore, torture, partial nudity, disturbing themes and intense lighting effects. BigSmile is therefore aimed at an adult audience, comfortable with written English, since the entire interface and texts are only in the original language.

For his part, Sleep Demonsign Ravenhome aka Alex Kerr, is a first-person walking simulator about sleep paralysis. Inspired by his own experiences, the game has you wandering through “liminal” corridors and motel rooms, where you have to spot anomalies, solve small puzzles and survive jumpscares, for about forty minutes, on Windows only, in English, without saving but with level selection.

Until April 7 only: how to keep these horror PC games alive and who are they made for?

To recover these two games, you must create an account on itch.ioopen the pages of BigSmile: The Message And Sleep Demonthen click on “Download or claim”. The installation files then download like any PC game and can be stored on your disk or external media.

In any case, if you want to organize a thrilling evening for €0, you will have to decide before April 7, when the promotion ends and the games return to their original price.
