Origin is postponed and won’t be released until March

A beta that changed everything

We will therefore have to wait a little longer before finding Meliodas and company. Normally scheduled for January 28, The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin will not arrive at the agreed time and will instead be released during the month of March. Netmarble has not yet given a new specific date, a sign that it is not yet entirely sure of its upcoming schedule.

The reason behind this postponement is the need to better analyze the results of the closed beta which took place in November, and which helped to highlight certain problems to be corrected before launch, notably on the user interface, the combat system and the controls:

After analyzing your feedback, we looked closely at times during combat and exploration where you hesitated or felt repeated discomfort, as well as instances where the controls didn’t respond as expected. Based on the points of convergence between your comments and our in-game observations, we conducted an internal analysis […] While some aspects could be fixed relatively quickly, we concluded that many others would require much more than simple adjustments. They demanded a deeper re-examination of the game’s overall structure and system-level improvements. »

A postponement which will undoubtedly do the game well, as we know to what extent this type of experience must not miss its launch otherwise its future community will never return.

The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin will be available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, iOS and Android.
