Nintendo Switch: these cult games are less than €5, but not for long

Good deals are multiplying on the Nintendo eShop. Currently, three critically acclaimed Nintendo Switch games, all rated at least 90 on Metacritic, are available for less than €5. A particularly attractive offer for Switch, Switch Lite and Switch OLED players.

Please note, however: these promotions are limited in time. Depending on the titles, they end between February 28 and March 6, 2026. Players therefore only have a few days to take advantage of them.

Three Switch games rated 90+ at a knockdown price

The first title on sale is Into the Breach, offered at €4.49. Developed by Subset Games, this turn-based strategy game scored 90 on Metacritic when it was released in 2019. Players pilot mechs tasked with defending the last vestiges of humanity against giant alien creatures.

Second game concerned: What Remains of Edith Finch, priced at €4.99. Developed by Giant Sparrow and published by Annapurna Interactive, this first-person narrative game received a score of 92 on Metacritic. The story follows Edith, who explores the family home to understand why she is the last survivor of her lineage. Finally, Celeste is also offered at €4.99. This platform game released in 2018 scored an impressive 94 on Metacritic.

Celeste, a modern classic for less than €5

A true reference in independent gaming, Celeste has established itself as one of the best games of its generation. As the article states: “In Celeste, you play Madeline, who undertakes the ascent of Mount Celeste. She must not only survive this perilous journey, but also confront her inner demons.” Its demanding gameplay, combined with sensitive storytelling, makes it a memorable experience.

Nintendo Switch 2 compatibility: what you need to know

These three games do not have a native version on Nintendo Switch 2. However, they remain playable thanks to backwards compatibility. As the source points out: “These games aren’t particularly graphics or performance intensive; so even if they had native versions for Nintendo Switch 2, the difference to the Switch versions would likely be minimal.” Performance should therefore remain stable, even on the new generation.

Deadlines: until February 28 or March 6, 2026

Promotions will not remain active indefinitely. Depending on the game, the offer expires between February 28 and March 6, 2026. With scores ranging from 90 to 94 on Metacritic and a price under €5, these titles are among the best deals currently available on the Nintendo eShop.
