A new support studio for Nintendo
So no longer call it Bandai Namco Studios Singapore, but Nintendo Studios Singapore. By buying most of the shares in this company, Nintendo becomes the real new owner, at least from April 1, 2026, the date on which the buyout will be effective if validated. This studio is in reality mainly specialized in the creation of visual assets for many gamesand appears in the title credits as Ace Combat 7, Tekken 8 or even SoulCalibur VI.
We see here that Nintendo is continuing its acquisition strategy by approaching studios not necessarily known for their games, but specialized in a very specific field. This acquisition recalls, among other things, that of Dynamo Pictures, now Nintendo Pictures, which strengthens the visual division of the manufacturer. The approach here is the same for Nintendo Studios Singapore, which knew Nintendo well before this acquisition. A priori, this operation should not disrupt current projects on either side for the moment, and the goal of Nintendo Studios Singapore will remain the same, namely that of being a support studio.
