A new trailer for the upcoming series was released today on the X account of the anime adaptation of “The World’s Strongest Rearguard: Labyrinth Country’s Novice Seeker” (Japanese: “Sekai Saikyou no Kouei”). You can find the video below.

“The World’s Strongest Rearguard” is directed by Yuuji Yanase (“Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra”) at Studio Maho Film. Hitomi Mieno is penning the script while Eriko Yanagimoto is doing the character design.
The opening song entitled “license” is by Redhair Rosy and the ending song “Owaranai Yoru no Mamori-kata” is contributed by Inner Journey. Crunchyroll will show the fantasy series in simulcast from July 5, 2026.
The original light novel series of the same name by Toowa Akatsuki has been published in Japan since November 2017 with illustrations by Huuka Kazabana. A manga adaptation by Rikizo debuted on the “Isekai Comic” website in March 2018.
