Netflix confirms start of production on the third “One Piece” season + cast

The streaming service Netflix recently announced that the third season of “One Piece” is now in production. In keeping with this, two new cast members were also introduced. We summarize below.

Season 2 in March 2026

With the premiere of the second season of the live-action adaptation of “One Piece” on March 10, 2026 on Netflix, an unexpectedly long dry spell that lasted over two and a half years will end for fans. But the chances are good that the third season will not involve such a long wait again.

Netflix has now officially confirmed that production of the third season has begun. With a little luck and a lot of optimism, the time until the next new episodes after the second season should be shorter.

It was also announced that Awdo Awdo (“Under Siege”) and Daisy Head (“The Proxy”, “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves”) will take on the roles of Mr. 1 and Miss Doublefinger. If the names don’t mean anything to you, you can see pictures of the two actors below as usual.

The eight-episode first season of “One Piece” was released worldwide on Netflix in August 2023. Tomorrow Studios, a collaboration between Marty Adelstein (“Prison Break”) and ITV Studios, is responsible for the production.
