Netflix and Crunchyroll are showing “Kill Blue” in a simulcast

The streaming services Netflix and Crunchyroll announced today that they have secured the license to “Kill Blue” (Japanese: “Kill Ao”). We summarize.

From April 11, 2026

The new action series “Kill Blue” starts on April 11, 2026 on Japanese television and can be seen in this country not only on ADN, as previously announced, but also on Crunchyroll and Netflix in the original sound with subtitles in a simulcast. New episodes appear weekly on all three platforms on Saturdays.

The CUE studio is responsible for the production of the anime, with Hiro Kaburagi (“Great Pretender: Razbliuto”) directing and writing the script. Miho Daidouji contributes the character design.

The original manga series of the same name by Tadatoshi Fujimaki has been published in the “Weekly Shonen Jump” magazine in Japan since April 2023. Manga Cult has been bringing the work onto the market with a German translation since the beginning of April 2026.
