Mario Kart World updates and changes a lot of things with version 1.4.0

An update that lets you play with your favorite items

Update 1.4.0 of Mario Kart World is now available on Nintendo Switch 2and will notably allow you to create personalized games with your favorite objects. So, you are free to configure a race in which you only chain lightning bolts, or another where you will only find blue shells (we don’t judge, if you like to suffer…).

And if we are now eager to find new circuits, perhaps via DLC, Nintendo is starting to tackle one of the major problems of the title, the intercourses. These routes, which are often criticized because of their monotony, have today been corrected, at least in part. This update mainly focuses on those at Koopa Troopa Beach. For example, all races that end in this area will require you to complete two laps in this location before crossing the finish line, instead of just one. The routes also become a little less direct, offering more turns.

Among other new features, the name of the song currently playing can now appear in-game if you press Pause, which will be practical for the most music lovers among you. Note also that it is possible to adjust the volume of the music via the controller settings, while the frequency of reappearance of coins and snacks is improved.

The complete patch note for version 1.4.0 of Mario Kart World can be found on the official Nintendo website.
