Q catches up
IO Interactive has certainly heard the public’s reactions to the PC configurations of 007 First Lightand today wants to send the message that this is all an internal error:
“ The previous error was due to an internal communications issue that resulted in an outdated version of the specifications being released. After extensive re-examination and additional testing, the recommended amount of RAM has been corrected (from 32 GB to 16 GB), VRAM values have been updated, and the minimum CPU requirements have been rectified. Further performance targets will be communicated closer to launch. »
Indeed, the 32 GB requested seemed to be abnormal for a 1080p/60 fps result, so it is reassuring to see that this has been revised downwards. This is not the only point that has changed here, since the VRAM is now lower, going to 8 GB instead of 12 GB in the recommended configuration. Here are the updated PC requirements for 007 First Light :
Minimum configuration (1080p/30 fps):
- Processor: Intel Core i5-9500 / AMD Ryzen 5 3500
- Graphics card: NVIDIA GTX 1660 / AMD RX 5700 / equivalent Intel dedicated GPU
- RAM: 16 GB
- Video memory (VRAM): 6 GB
- Storage space: 80 GB minimum
- Operating system: Windows 10 / Windows 11 (64-bit)
Recommended configuration (1080p/60fps):
- Processor: Intel Core i5-13500 / AMD Ryzen 5 7600
- Graphics card: NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti / AMD RX 6700 XT / Intel equivalent dedicated GPU
- RAM: 16 GB
- Video memory (VRAM): 8 GB
- Storage space: 80 GB minimum
- Operating system: Windows 10 / Windows 11 (64-bit)
