“Higurashi GOU” will soon be on German television for the first time

An entry in the ProSieben FUN program schedule made it known that the pay-TV channel would be broadcasting the horror series “Higurashi GOU” as a German TV premiere in just a few weeks. We summarize.

Now on Joyn

“Higurashi GOU” starts on November 24th, 2025 at 9:40 p.m. with the first episode in German and will run in double episodes every Monday evening at the same time from the following week. All 24 episodes are already available on Joyn.

Studio Passione was responsible for producing the series, which is a sequel to “Higurashi Rei,” and was directed by Keiichirou Kawaguchi (“The Red Ranger”). The premiere in Japan took place in October 2020.

AniMoon Publishing released all series of the “Higurashi” franchise with German and Japanese language versions on DVD and Blu-ray. Aniverse and Crunchyroll also offer individual seasons on demand.
