GTA 6: the game map would be much larger than what Rockstar showed

As the launch of GTA 6 draws near, speculation is heating up about what else Rockstar has up its sleeve. And one subject attracts all the attention: the size of the card. While the studio has only revealed a few areas of Vice City and its surroundings, many fans believe that we only know a tiny fragment of the real world of the game.

It was on the r/GTA6 forum that the user rooohhan relaunched the debate, by publishing two images: one representing the theoretical map with its known areas, the other contrasting the still unknown areas. In the caption, he explains: “The first image is speculation on how many things Rockstar is still hiding and the second image is 100% confirmation of the locations without any speculation.”

Only 10%? The fans are convinced that we are far from the mark

According to community calculations, what we’ve seen so far would only represent 10% of the entire GTA 6 map. An estimate without official proof, but which fuels the excitement. Among the confirmed areas: Vice City, Mount Kalaga National Park, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, Key West… and a few still unclear points of interest.

But the fan-created map ventures much further. It includes areas like South Glorianalocated to the north, or the Lucaya Islands south. If these locations turn out to be real, the playing field of GTA 6 would far exceed that of GTA V.

For rooohhan, this prospect is both dizzying and promising: “While it may seem a bit of an exaggeration, to think that we still know so little is absolutely mind-boggling.”

Rockstar skillfully maintains the mystery

Rockstar’s caution is nothing new, especially after the numerous leaks the game has suffered in recent years. But the publisher seems to have managed to keep the most important thing to himself. And some players are happy about it. “I’m really glad the full map wasn’t leaked. We’ve come too far to have a lousy spoiler now. I’m happy to wait for the release. I’ve seen enough. I’m convinced.”

Remember that GTA 6 will be released on May 26, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. In the meantime, fans are having fun deciphering each pixel, each teaser, each clue. And as one user sums it up: “Just a few more months and we will have everything.”
