Japanese publisher KADOKAWA announced today that an anime adaptation of the fantasy novel “King’s Proposal” (“Ousama no Proposal”) is in the works. You can find a picture of the announcement below.

Concrete details about the anime implementation, such as the format (series, film, OVA), a date for the premiere or the people involved in the production, are currently still pending. We’ll keep you updated.
The underlying light novel series was written by “Date A Live” author Koushi Tachibana and has been available in Japanese stores since September 2021 with illustrations by Tsunako. Six volumes of the work have been published so far.
A manga adaptation of Nemo Kurio was published from February 2023 to March 2025 on Square Enix’s “Gangan Online” website and in six print editions.
