Available since April 2025 on PS5, Days Gone Remastered has just received a new discreet but not trivial update. Patch 1.036.180, published by Sony Bend Studio, introduces a function that was still missing: compatibility with the console’s energy saving mode.
This technical update, available immediately, does not detail any other changes. But its arrival arouses the interest of players keen to optimize their experience on PS5 and PS5 Pro, especially for a game as immersive and demanding as Days Gone.
A technical update that strengthens PS5 integration
Version 1.036.180 of Days Gone Remastered adds a single line in its patch notes: support for power saving mode of the PS5. An often forgotten but nevertheless crucial feature for long gaming sessions or consoles left on standby. On a technical level, this allows game behavior to be better synchronized with the console’s system settings, particularly in terms of power management and resource saving.
No other improvements have been indicated, and Sony Bend Studio has not communicated further on the precise intentions or effects of this update. It comes several months after the launch of the remaster, without prior teasing.
What is Days Gone Remastered really worth on PS5?
Released in April 2025, Days Gone Remastered offers a graphic and technical overhaul of the post-apocalyptic adventure game initially released on PS4. The studio has added several highly anticipated features such as:
- A permadeath modefor challenge lovers
- A speed run modetimed
- The mode Horde Assaultin which players face an infinite number of Freakers until their last breath
These new features were welcomed by fans, as were the accessibility efforts and the fluidity and resolution improvements. Compatibility with the PS5 Pro makes it one of the most complete remasters offered by Sony in recent months.
But this patch 1.036.180, as minimalist as it is, seems to indicate that the studio remains listening to players and continues to make targeted adjustments to its game, even several months after release.
