Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 was scheduled to release on November 14. But with less than a month to go before launch, a last-minute change could disrupt players’ plans. The famous leaker @TheGhostOfHope is fueling speculation: the game’s release date could be brought forward, and the information is already dividing the community.
Scheduled for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series But beyond the technical details, it is the calendar which crystallizes the tensions.
A possible change of calendar less than a month before the release
The rumor was relaunched on X/Twitter by @TheGhostOfHope, who had already mentioned this hypothesis last month. This time he claims: “There appears to be evidence of a potential release date change for Black Ops 7, which could be brought forward by a week.” He added: “I’m not sure I’ll buy it again, but it would be a pleasant surprise if I did.”
This turnaround, if confirmed, would leave players little time to adapt. Reactions are divided. Some simply request early access to the single-player campaign. “I would prefer if they just offered early access to the campaign and left the date of November 14th for the rest of the game. But I doubt that will happen again.”
Others wonder about the practical implications: “It might be for digital editions, I’m not sure about the logistics of physical releases so close to launch.”
Between frustration and excitement, fans react
The potential change of date does not please everyone. Some players had organized their schedule around November 14. “The current release date is PERFECT in line with everything I have going on. If they move it up, I’m done. This might be the only year I don’t want Call of Duty sooner, DAMN IT.”
Others prefer to prepare themselves psychologically. “I hope I’m ready.” Or directly begging the studio: “PLEASE @Treyarch.”
Debates also revolve around the feasibility of such a change. “These rumors are interesting, they would certainly shake things up if confirmed. Early access to the campaign might make sense logistically, but a full postponement seems tricky so close to launch.”
Many remain cautious but hopeful nonetheless. “I doubt they’ll change it this soon, but I really want them to 😭.” And some are getting excited: “EARLY ACCESS CAMPAIGN???????”
As of now, Activision has not made any official statement. As of today, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 remains scheduled for November 14, but rumors persist. In the meantime, one thing is certain: the wait is more feverish than ever.
