Dawn of War IV reveals new trailer introducing the Dark Angels and Lion Primarch El’Johnson

All-out war on Kronus, with two Space Marine Chapters

Por the first time in the saga, two chapters of Space Marines are playable: the Blood Ravens and the Dark Angels. The Dark Angels have their own commanders: Company Master Astoran and Chaplain Ezrael. Both retain their historical, tactical and aesthetic identity.

The new trailer for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV shows us the invasion of the ravaged world of Kronus. The Blood Ravens (led by Captains Cyrus and Archivist Jonah Orion) land in orbit before finding themselves thrown to the ground following an orbital confrontation with the Orks led by Warboss Gorgutz. On the planet, Orks, Adeptus Mechanicus and Necrons clash while the Dark Angels intervene at the critical moment to save the day.

Highlight of the show, the trailer reveals the arrival of the legendary Primarch Lion El’Jonson on the battlefield. While details of his exact role remain unclear, his presence marks a turning point as fans could have the opportunity to control one of the most iconic characters in the Warhammer 40,000 universe.

In total, more than 70 solo or cooperative missions are planned, not counting skirmish, “Last Stand” and multiplayer modes. Developers insist on return to “classic” style of real-time strategy with large armies, base building, unit management and large-scale tactics.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV will be released in 2026 on PC.
