Cyberpunk 2077 reaches a new milestone with 35 million games sold

More and more people are working on Cyberpunk 2

CD Projekt Red provided an update on sales of Cyberpunk 2077 during his assessment of the last quarter which has just passed for the company. We therefore learn that since its launch, until November 26, 2025 (i.e. today), Cyberpunk 2077 has sold 35 million copies worldwide.

A great success for the studio, which allows it to work more calmly on the sequel to the game. We can see in the report shared by CD Project Red that the teams will be considerably increased in the coming months around this sequel to Cyberpunk 2077. Last October, around 135 people were working on this game, but by the end of 2027, the studio plans to have more than 300 people on the project.

The priority still remains The Witcher IV for the moment, with 447 people mobilized on the RPG. The studio has recruited well since last summer with more than fifty additional employees, who also work on Project Sirus (56 of them) and Project Hadar (29 employees). In short, everything is progressing, but it is Ciri who brings together the most talent today within the studio.
