Cyberpunk 2077: Leaks Reveal Surprise April DLC Ahead of Official Announcement

While CD Projekt RED confirmed the end of classic DLC for Cyberpunk 2077new content has just appeared where we least expected it. Since update 40.10 of April 1, 2026, the files of Fortnite contain a complete skin ofAdam Smasherdiscovered by dataminers.

This crossover feels like a true “April DLC” for Night City fans, even though it’s technically a Fortnite cosmetic. It remains to be seen when this Wave 2 centered on Adam Smasher will finally be playable, and if it will become the only new content stamped Cyberpunk 2077 this spring.

Cyberpunk 2077 x Fortnite: what does this surprise “DLC” from April really reveal?

The collaboration Cyberpunk 2077 Adam Smasher Fortnite is part of a broader strategy around the 5th anniversary of the game. A first wave of skins, the Night City Denizens pack, had already brought Johnny Silverhand, V and the Quadra Turbo-R into Fortnite before leaving the store on March 31, 2026.

On March 6, the Epic Games Store lit the fuse with a teaser talking about “new locker content smashing into Fortnite”, immediately relayed by the official account Cyberpunk 2077. For many, the play on words left little doubt: Wave 2 of the crossover, expected during Chapter 7 Season 2, was to bring Adam Smasher in the spotlight.

Adam Smasher in Fortnite: what does it change for players?

The confirmation arrived quietly with patch 40.10. By searching the files, several dataminers found the 3D model ofAdam Smasherits variants and its accessories, already listed on databases as “leaked” cosmetics, introduced on April 1 but still absent from the store.

Clearly, the skin already exists in the client Fortnite and is just waiting for a green light from Epic to become playable. For fans of Cyberpunk 2077it’s an interesting paradox: while CD Projekt RED repeats that it is no longer working on new DLC or extensions, the only new content playable in April is in Epic’s battle royale.

Store release, price, future of the Cyberpunk 2077 collab: what to expect?

As of April 2, 2026, neither Epic nor CD Projekt RED have not announced a date for the arrival ofAdam Smasher in the store. Based on previous reports, most of the skins added in the files are generally released within one to three weeks, which gives hope for a deployment sometime in April, without any guarantee.

Estimates suggest a price around 1,500 V-Bucks, or around €12 at current prices, with possibly a matching backpack and pickaxe. It is therefore better to keep a few V-Bucks aside and regularly monitor the store, while following the accounts of Fortnite And Cyberpunk 2077. While waiting for the sequel to the RPG scheduled for 2030 at the earliest, this “fake DLC” could well be the next big appearance ofAdam Smasher.
