Battlefield 6 rolls out major patch ahead of Season 1

While season 1 of Battlefield 6 must begin on October 28the teams ofEA and of Battlefield Studios have just announced a major update focused on player progress. Strategic timing for a game that has set sales and attendance records since its release.

According to a post published on the official subreddit r/Battlefieldthis “community update” aims to correct the main feedback provided by the community, in particular concerning the pace considered too slow in increasing XP.

The main change concerns the adjustment of earnings: “The XP gained from completing the match and the daily bonus are increased by 10% and 40% respectively”Battlefield Studios announced. Enough to encourage players to get more involved in regular games.

Removal of “XP farms” and server maintenance

At the same time, the studio decided to delete the so-called servers “XP farm”often used to accumulate points without actually playing. This measure aims to facilitate access to balanced and active games.

“We’re developing adjustments to reduce the number of XP farms taking up server space while placing more emphasis on playing with friends over personalized, verified experiences”specifies Battlefield Studios. Players will now have to manually republish their custom experiences after the update, following technical maintenance.

This sweep on the server side could ultimately strengthen the quality of the games and the loyalty of the players, an area that EA now seems to take seriously.

Conquest Mode Ignored, Community Rumbles

But everything is not perfect yet. Many players expected the update revisits a recent change to Conquest modewhere the number of tickets was reduced, drastically shortening the duration of matches.

This choice was widely criticized on the forums : some players have even announced that they refuse to restart the game until this setting is restored. A notable absence in the patch notes, and a signal that could tarnish the atmosphere before the launch of season 1.

Even if EA has not yet commented on this point, the attention paid to player feedback in recent weeks gives hope for a return in the near future… but probably not before October 28.
