The studio thought it was doing the right thing, the players said no. By reducing the size of tickets in Conquest mode, the developers of Battlefield 6 sparked a lively controversy. Result: they reversed course and restored the launch conditions, to the greatest satisfaction of the community.
Since this morning, all Conquest of Battlefield 6 go back to 1,000 tickets and last 45 minutes again. The studio confirmed this in a message published on October 17, acknowledging an error of judgment in the face of negative feedback from players.
Return to 1,000 tickets on all cards
At the beginning of October, Battlefield Studios had taken everyone by surprise by changing the ticket system in Conquest mode. Stated objective: shorten the duration of the games to “enable a more natural ending”. To achieve this, the studio had adjusted the number of tickets according to the card, instead of keeping the standard of 1,000.
But the community did not buy in. Very quickly, negative feedback accumulated, accusing the change of breaking the rhythm of the game. Battlefield Studios has therefore decided: “We have heard your feedback regarding the recent reduction of starting tickets in Conquest and we will restore the number of tickets to their initial launch value of 1,000, with timed rounds of 45 minutes.”
The studio warns, however: “Please note that on large maps like Mirak Valley and Firestorm, this change may result in longer match duration.”
Other updates to come soon
This turnaround is not an isolated case. Since the launch of Battlefield 6the developers are increasing the number of messages to the community to develop the game in real time. A few days ago, they had already announced measures against XP farms and an increase in experience gain for regular players.
And this is just the beginning. The studio promises other adjustments “in the coming week, or even sooner”, notably on visibility, weapon bloom, vehicles that do not spawn and other identified problems.
“This is only the beginning,” assure the developers. “As we prepare for Season 1, you can expect further adjustments as we continue to refine the gameplay, progression, and experience based on your feedback. Thank you for being part of this community, and we’ll see you on the battlefield.”
