Instead, go ask the license owner
If there is no Switch 2 version of Baldur’s Gate 3 today while it could bring in a monster sum, it is not Larian’s fault. The studio spoke about this during its big Q&A session on Reddit about its next game divinity. When asked if Larian had considered this option, CEO Swen Vincke said it was beyond his control:
“ We would have loved to, but it wasn’t up to us to decide. »
The CEO does not speak on the subject but his response suggests that it is Wizards of the Coast, owner of the license Dungeons & Dragonsto decide on such porting or not. And since the story between the latter and Larian apparently ended badly, the studio refusing to work on a Baldur’s Gate 4we imagine that the two entities are not yet ready to work together again and that a Switch 2 version is now compromised. Too bad, even if it is still possible to play the game in portable mode via a Steam Deck or other.
