Two characters for a second episode
Raji: Kaliyuga presents itself as a direct sequel to the first opus. For the moment, in addition to a few screenshots, we were mainly treated to an announcement trailer that does not necessarily reflect the true face of the game, but the note of intent sets us a scene which will obviously continue to revolve around Hindu mythology.
Also, the video as well as the key art clearly shows us the presence of a second character. It’s nothing more and nothing less than Darsh, Raji’s brother. If the big sister has become a powerful warrior, Darsh will focus more on the use of magic, notably allowing the manipulation of time and gravity. A duality in gameplay that promises variety, both in combat and in puzzle solving.
We will take turns controlling them in an adventure that will take us through several kingdoms, going even further into the conflict. From now on, gods, asuras and other mystical entities will be there, as will Mahabalasura, back as the main antagonist.
The events take place six years later Raji: An Ancient Epic and, in addition to the gameplay, one of the major changes to the formula consists of a transition from the isometric view to a third-person free camera. Nodding Heads Games therefore wants more than ever to materialize the good impression that the first game left by infusing even more ambition into its sequel.
Unfortunately, we are not likely to see much more soon, given that no date has been revealed. Still Raji: Kaliyuga is planned for PC (via Steam, Epic and Microsoft Store), PS5 and Xbox Series.
