A new playtest of Bungie’s game will take place in December, but only in North America

Soon a new less closed public test?

Marathon was already entitled to a playtest a few weeks ago, but Bungie now wants to organize another one just before leaving to rest for the end-of-year holidays. On its site, the studio announces that a new phase will take place from December 12 to 16 on all platforms where the game will be released, but only in North America. No luck for us Europeans, but who knows, maybe other playtests are on the way.

Even if you have already participated in a playtest, you will need to express your interest in it on the game’s official website, by choosing your preferred platform. Once again, this playtest will be subject to a non-disclosure agreement, which means you will not be able to share your experience online. That being said, we can see that development is accelerating and that Bungie is testing its game more and more, suggesting that it could actually release it before the end of the fiscal year (before March 31, 2026). In any case, this is what Sony promised, but it will also depend on the feedback on this test.

Marathon will be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
