The thrill season is also coming to your console. A few days before Halloween, Nintendo announces the arrival of a cult game from its retro catalog on the Switch Online + Additional Pack subscription. And it’s a nugget that Mario and Luigi fans will recognize among thousands.
From October 30, 2025, all Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers on Switch 2 console will be able to download Luigi’s Mansion for free, the very first opus of the cult series originally released in 2001 on GameCube. A perfectly calibrated choice for Halloween, in which Luigi finds himself alone exploring a haunted mansion to save his brother Mario, armed only with a vacuum cleaner to capture the ghosts.

After highly anticipated additions like The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker Or F-Zero GXthis time it is Luigi’s mansion which opens its doors to subscribers. The game will be available via the Nintendo GameCube – Nintendo Classics app, starting October 30.
