Expedition 33) will do what he pleases, without listening too much to the public

The pressure is there, but you have to ignore it

In any case, this is the message that wants to convey François Meurisseproduction director at Sandfall Interactive (interviewed by Edge magazine and relayed by GamesRadar), who recognizes that public pressure is now more present, but that it is ultimately not very important. Furthermore, although the expectations will not be the same, the team has also been able to evolve and is not starting from the same starting point:

We will have time to fully focus on the next game. We have some great ideas that we can’t wait to explore, and we’re not starting from the same starting point. The team already has five more years of experience. So, maybe we can achieve great things. »

Jennifer Svedberg-Yenwho was in charge of writing Chiaroscuro: Expedition 33adds by admitting that if she usually likes to give the public what they ask for and this thought remains in the back of her mind, the priority remains to do what the studio wants to do, rather than what people want to see :

Creatively, we’ve always let our personal tastes guide us, based on what we think is cool, what we like and what we want to see. I have seen too many series and books being influenced by the desire to please as many people as possible, and we end up losing the very essence of the work. That’s why we believe it’s essential to trust our intuition and stay true to the studio’s vision. »

A noble thought which unfortunately does not give us any more clues about the studio’s next game, except that Sandfall Interactive will not be afraid to follow through with its ideas.
