PS5: this spectacular action game from 2026 is playable for free now

In a release calendar often dominated by blockbusters announced months in advance, Reloadian arrives almost incognito. This action game developed by South Korean studio bucketplay was revealed on December 19 during the ID@Xbox program, and has recently offered a free beta on PS5 via the PlayStation Store.

What makes it particularly interesting? This is an intensely paced roguevania, playable without a PS Plus subscription. As its product sheet indicates, Reloadian is a “fast-paced roguevania fighting game, spectacular gameplay and fully cross-play compatible”.

A free beta open to all, without PS Plus subscription

Unlike most recent games in early testing, Reloadian can be tried without conditions. The free beta is available to all PS5 owners directly from the PlayStation Store, and does not require an active PS Plus subscription. A specific notice is even displayed on the sheet: “Offline game activated”, thus specifying that the experience is entirely available in single player.

For PS Plus Premium subscribers, the beta is also playable via the cloud, providing additional flexibility to experience the title without downloading.

A bold narrative concept in an artificial reality

Beyond its nervous gameplay, it is also its universe that intrigues. The official presentation of the game sets the tone with a powerful catchphrase: “You have been promised eternal life. From now on, you would do anything for the thrill of death.”

In Reloadian, the player plays a character trapped in a simulation where immortality has become a meaningless routine. The only objective? Rediscover the taste for danger by earning a fleeting life through a system of brutal confrontations. “In Reloadian, you are trapped in an artificial reality where immortality no longer has any meaning. The only way to escape? Gain a fleeting life by surpassing everyone else.”

A discreet but promising launch

Reloadian ticks several boxes to please fans of demanding action: roguevania system, character customization, unique abilities, and full cross-play. However, the game has not benefited from any notable marketing campaign, neither on classic PlayStation channels, nor in the specialized press.

With a release planned for 2026, the game could well create a surprise if it manages to transform its beta test into a critical success. For now, it’s a great opportunity for the curious to test an ambitious game before anyone else, for free and without constraints.
