The reset offered in ARC Raiders is not enforced, unlike other multiplayer titles. Here, it’s an optional mechanic introduced by Embark Studios through what they call the Expedition Project.
Launched from December 17, 2025this unique campaign allows players to reset voluntarily their progress, in exchange for exclusive rewards. The registration window is short: only six days, until December 22. After this deadline, it is impossible to join this expedition.
“You will have six days for your Raider to choose to permanently leave the Rust Belt”explains the studio in a blog post.
What you lose if you reset your progress
Agreeing to reset your account is not a trivial gesture. Once validated, your progress is erased on many levels:
- Level of your character
- Skill Trees
- Workshop and plans unlocked
- Crafting Ability
- Complete inventory
In return, you benefit from simplified configuration from the first deployment to Speranza, with immediate access to all maps and improvements in the workshop.

Exclusive rewards and bonus benefits
So why try it? To motivate players to take the plunge, ARC Raiders offers permanent and temporary benefits to those who reset their account during shipping.
Permanent rewards include:
- The outfit Patchwork Raider
- The cap Scrappy Janitor
- The icon Shipping indicator
- Until 5 skill points bonus based on the value of your reserve (1M coins = 1 point)
- +12 space reserve
Added to this are temporary bonuses for the new adventure:
- +10% repair
- +5% experience
- +6% materials from Scrappy
“One million coins worth equals one extra skill point for your new Raider”details the studio.
To reset or not? A choice that depends on your player profile
This system is not intended to force the players’ hand. It is primarily aimed at those who want a new strategic start, or who want to make the most of their current reserve.
For beginner profiles or players wanting to correct past mistakes, resetting is an interesting opportunity. For others, especially those who have already invested a lot of time, it may seem too expensive.
