While impatience grows around GTA 6, a technical demo has just appeared on the networks, revealed by a former Rockstar employee. These sequences, captured internally, reveal several new gameplay features never before seen.
In the video, a generic character uses a bike rental station, rides on it and then puts it away. Even more striking, we see Lucia, confirmed heroine of the game, jumping from a truck, landing in the dumpster and going back down to the sidewalk. Apparently simple animations, but which confirm a clear desire: that of offering more freedom and interaction with the open world.
The return of Vice City takes shape in the first images
These extracts reinforce the insistent rumors about the return of Vice City, the cult city of the 2002 episode. The decor seen in the demo – with its palm trees, its tropical architecture and its warm light – clearly recalls the universe inspired by Miami. GTA 6 should thus offer a revisited version of this mythical city, this time more dense and immersive.
According to development information, Vice City would contain numerous accessible interior spaces, a first on this scale for the series. Rockstar plans to expand the side activities with new mini-games, scuba diving and even hunting sessions.
More interactive vehicles and a redesigned combat system
The demo broadcast also confirms developments on the vehicles. Pickups could now carry multiple players in the back, promising more dynamic co-op or chase gameplay scenes. A feature that would target both solo and the title’s future online mode.
Another expected advance: an improved cover system during the shooting phases. Inspired by Red Dead Redemption 2, this mechanism would make shootouts more fluid and strategic, with much more realistic animation than before.
An official release set for November 19, 2026
Rockstar has confirmed the launch date: GTA 6 will be released on November 19, 2026. Initially scheduled for May of the same year, the game was postponed again. Despite this, the enthusiasm of the fans does not wane.
Already doubly awarded the title of “most anticipated game” at the Game Awards, GTA 6 arouses a fervor rarely seen. And each new image, even unofficial, only further fuels this global expectation.
